Adaptive Sport
Sask Sport administers an Adaptive Sport program that is made possible through financial contributions from the Sask Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation.
The program provides grants supporting club development and equipment purchases. Local or community clubs/organizations can apply with the endorsement of an active/affiliate member of Sask Sport.
Adaptive sport plays an important role in a healthy lifestyle and provides access to a social network and peer support.
In Saskatchewan today, there are numerous opportunities in adaptive sport, including goalball, Para hockey, wheelchair basketball, skiing and more. If you’re unsure where to start, review the list of Provincial Sport Organizations or contact Sask Sport’s Adaptive Sport Coordinator below.

Adaptive Sport Grants
Through their Provincial Sport Organization, clubs and groups can apply for grants to help develop adaptive programming or purchase adaptive equipment. Application deadlines are due April 1 and October 1 each year.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Grants
Assistance is available to athletes and sport groups for training and program initiatives by applying through their Provincial Sport Organization. Application deadlines are due April 1 and October 1 each year.
Spark Ideas Grant
To support the Saskatchewan amateur sport system to enhance and increase the capacity to support Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility. Application deadlines vary and the grant must be applied for through a Provincial Sport Organization
