13th Annual National Indigenous Physical Activity & Wellness Conference

Sport, Culture and Recreation

Respond by: May 10, 2026

This conference is proudly presented in partnership with Sask Sport and Whitecap Dakota First Nation.

This event brings together Elders, researchers, youth and community members to promote Indigenous physical activity and wellness. Volunteers play a vital role in making this event a success!

Please note: Our conference will be held in a hybrid format, and we welcome volunteers who are interested in supporting the virtual components of the event. Volunteer roles may include introducing presenters on Zoom, assisting with basic technical troubleshooting, and helping ensure smooth transitions between sessions. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to be involved remotely while contributing meaningfully to the success of the conference.

Volunteers will receive complimentary registration and lunch on the day(s) they volunteer. Each conference day is divided into two shifts — morning (7:45 AM to 12:30 PM) and afternoon (12:30 PM to 5:00 PM). Volunteers are welcome to attend conference sessions outside of their scheduled shift. For those who prefer, volunteers may choose to volunteer for one full day and receive one full day of conference attendance. All volunteers will be provided with certificates of recognition in appreciation of their support.
